The importance of music in our programs
Music is at the core of our programs, for a number of reasons:

- Music has a positive influence in developing young children’s skills, such as memory and reasoning. Providing children with such an environment supports the children’s development and healthy growth.
- Children who participate actively in music do well in math and reading and are able to control the focus of their bodies. They also have a higher self-esteem and interact well with their peers (Alfred DuPont, 2008).
- Researchers have documented that students participating in playing music instruments after class scored higher on the reading and mathematics than their non-music peers. (Bound Seniors National Report, 2001.) The children attending the program will be taught music education and taught how to play a number of musical instruments and sing in choirs exercises that shall benefit the children in ways elaborated above.
- When students participate in music activities after class work, research has shown that they perform better in reading and math. (Alfred DuPont, 2008).
